OUR BRAND

It’s all about mission success.

The story of our brands is a simple one. It’s always been about your success. We started with weather in 1995, and grew into trip logistics when our clients needed us to. Later, our clients asked for ways to reduce their fuel costs, ground support that focused on business aviation versus commercial, and more reliable in-flight catering—so that’s what we did, and we helped pioneer an industry.

Today, whether used together or standalone, each of our brands represents the different ways we support our clients in an ever-changing and increasingly sophisticated operating environment. And while these brands may appear different, they all work together to help operators overcome the unexpected, exceed the high expectations placed on them, and achieve mission success.

About Us

Our company was founded in 2007 by exceptional collaborators, who had a vision to provide a service no one else in the world ever had before – customized a concierge for business aviation.

That initial vision would continue to grow over the following half century. As business aviation expanded, Beginess evolved, adding new services and solutions to meet the changing needs of a growing industry that relied on business aviation aircraft, regardless of location or length of trip.

Ben had an absolute commitment to the success of his clients’ missions, which today is embedded in our DNA and continues to be the foundation of everything we do.

Moving organizations that move the world.

Whether driving worldwide commerce or bringing people together to change and enrich lives, Beginess® clients utilize business aircraft in ways that are critical to the global economy, aid in timely disaster relief, and much more. It is our role at Beginess Corporation and Aviation, Inc. to help these missions succeed.

Each Beginess employee, supplier, and partner around the globe is fully committed to going above and beyond to help our clients navigate an increasingly complex world, and keep their organizations moving. We do so by reducing the inherent risk and stress associated with complex, multi-leg trips by:

  • Proactively identifying potential challenges and delivering resourceful solutions
  • Learning, understanding, anticipating, and adapting to an ever-changing regulatory environment
  • Staying one step ahead of unforeseen events and mobilizing our Global Community of resources as needed

Responsibility & Sustainability. Moving A Greater World

At Beginess, we’re moving organizations that move the world. As a global team, we are committed to making that world the best it can be. We value fostering diversity and new ideas in our workplace, and we recognize that our responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of our own business operations extends to our people, clients, community relationships, and partners — and all the missions we touch.

It starts with our Culture.

Our culture has always been about helping others, respecting others, doing our part to make the world a better place, and being passionate about what we do. We believe our discretionary efforts make all the difference to succeed. And we believe in empowering our people to be the best they can be through training and resources.

Diverse Backgrounds. Diverse ideas. Innovative solutions.

As a global company, we are made of up people all over the world spanning all types of cultural backgrounds and diverse thinking. We embrace our differences and recognize that its our collective experiences and talents that make us stronger and help us better support our equally diverse customers around the world.

Minimizing our environmental impact.

We believe in the importance of minimizing our environmental impact, and helping our customers do the same. Some of the ways we do this include:

  • Developing industry-leading solutions to help our customers comply with mandatory aircraft carbon monitoring and offset programs, as well as help them perform voluntary offsetting in order to achieve net zero on every flight we manage on their behalf.
  • Offsetting 100% of the carbon produced on rides booked through our subsidiary.
  • Implementing responsible food procurement and waste reduction strategies across our Air Culinaire Worldwide kitchens
  • Introducing more electric and environmentally friendly equipment across our Universal Aviation worldwide ground support network
  • Reducing employees’ carbon footprint through more flexible work policies

Supporting our communities.

What makes our community support initiatives stand out is the dedication of our employees.

Beginess: we support many great charitable organizations like Communities in Schools, Corporate Angel Network, and Wings of Love, and our people all over the world volunteer hundreds of hours in their local communities annually.

Prioritizing humanitarian relief.

When disaster strikes, we regularly  donate our resources and expertise to help in international humanitarian relief efforts where business aviation can make a positive impact, such as the transportation of life-saving supplies or the movement of displaced people. We’re avid advocates of the Business Aviation Industry in all its forms — business, leisure, humanitarian, and more. We actively support initiatives that raise awareness of the critical role our industry has on our broader communities. We also continually working hard to improve operating conditions and flexibility for our industry, and our people volunteer hundreds of hours of time every year serving on various industry committees and associations.

Beginess is proud to be a National Oceanic and Atmospheric (NOAA) Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador. The purpose of the WRN Ambassador program is to save lives and property by helping create awareness of the weather events that impact our employees and community.

Supporting Veterans

Many people in our industry first discovered their love of aviation through military service. At Beginess, we are proud and honored to employ military veterans from around the world. We’re also proud to regularly support Impact a Hero, which helps wounded veterans in need.

Its Security

Taking the privacy of our customers’ data VERY seriously. At Beginess, we are committed to information security and operate a comprehensive program that proactively works to safeguard our customers’ sensitive information.

We are ISO 27001 certified by Schellman, LLC covering the mission support, digital engagement, and information technology environments.  This certification represents a program of annual risk assessments, internal and external audits, continual improvement, penetration testing, vulnerability management, employee training, physical and personnel security, and business continuity processes.

We have a full-time IT Security team, tasked with managing the risks to Beginess’s data and technology environment.  All Beginess employees work together to safeguard company data and information systems against unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction, or alteration. Furthermore, we are routinely undergoing audits by our Fortune 500 clients.

The following sections provide a summary of our approach to information security:

All Beginess employees are subject to the Code of Conduct.  This document describes their obligation to protect the privacy of client data, incident reporting requirements, appropriate use of IT resources, and ethical expectations.

All Beginess employees are subject to pre-employment background checks and must complete annual online training covering IT security, data privacy laws and the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of our clients’ information. Employees whose job functions require them to handle sensitive client data must complete additional in-person training.

All Beginess employees and contractors are bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

All reported or suspected incidents of fraud or malfeasance are investigated by the office of the Chief Compliance Officer at the direction of the General Counsel.

Physical access to Beginess’s headquarters location is managed by a proximity card and photo-ID system and perimeter doors are locked at all times.  Deliveries are received in a section of the building isolated from technology and trip support operations.  Visitors are required to sign in, are identified by a prominent visitor badge, and are required to be accompanied at all times by a Beginess employee while in our facility.   Employee and contractor access restrictions are based on job function and authorized by the supervisor, security manager, or facility manager.  Access is promptly revoked whenever an employee or contractor separates from Beginess employ, regardless of cause.

In order to serve our global customer needs, our headquarters operates around the clock and observes these security practices at all times.

Our CyrusOne data center is SSAE 18 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified as well as PCI-DSS compliant. It undergoes annual, independent, third-party audits to ensure it continues to meet strict compliance requirements for processes, controls, and safeguards. The data center is secured by onsite guards 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, video surveillance, key card security for strict access control, and man-trap type security doors to prevent tailgating. The data center is equipped with fire monitoring and suppression systems. Further, CyrusOne segregates customer infrastructure to restrict access in the event multiple customers are on-site at the same time.

Beginess contracts space in both Atlanta, Dallas Texas and Lax, CyrusOne facilities to safeguard data and operations against environmental threats.  Throughout recent events, including hurricane Harvey, COVID, and the Texas 2021 freeze, both data centers offered uninterrupted operation.

Access to customer information follows the principle of least privilege and is determined by employee job duties. All user access requires management authorization and assigned privileges are periodically reviewed by the IT Security Office. Additionally, we utilize contemporary technologies to alert the IT Security Office of file access activities that deviate from normal work behavior.  Upon employee separation, access to the physical campus and all systems is disabled immediately after notification by Human Resources.

Administrative access is more tightly controlled, abides by the principle of least privilege, and restricted by job function.

Beginess combines extensive network perimeter intrusion prevention against malware along with system-level safeguards, including data-at-rest encryption, regular software updates, periodic off-site backups, and advanced endpoint security tools.  Additionally, these security technologies are monitored 24×7.  The company network is subdivided into zones based on differing trust levels, to improve our ability to detect suspicious events and to limit the potential exposure of sensitive information. Further, the network perimeter prevents access to certain types of Internet sites and content that Beginess’s leadership team have determined are not essential for the business or create undue risk.

Remote access to the company’s information resources requires encryption-in-transit and multifactor authentication of individual employees.  Beginess-owned and managed workstations are provided for remote work, both to limit the flow of company data and ensure a high standard of system management.

Company email is filtered against contemporary threats such as spam, malicious software, phishing, impersonation of key personnel, and other fraudulent messages. Further tools are used to detect and warning when outgoing messages contain certain types of data.

Sensitive data storage is monitored for anomalous user access patterns, early warning signs of ransomware activity, and alterations to assigned access permissions.

All web applications are scanned for common vulnerabilities as part of our overall vulnerability management program and utilize contemporary HTTPS encryption methods to protect data.

Annually, our digital mission management platform, uvGO, and the company network undergoes a 3rd party penetration test.  Observed issues are promptly remediated under the umbrella of our vulnerability management program.

A comprehensive incident response plan governs detection, containment, investigation, reporting, and ongoing improvements to our security posture.

Our Business Continuity Program provides structured plans for the recovery of critical business functions and the resumption of those functions in the event of disaster. We review our business continuity plans periodically and conduct disaster recovery exercises, including scenarios based on weather, loss of access to our facilities, pandemic, or various cybersecurity incidents to ensure that these plans are ready, should a need arise.

At Beginess, we are committed to conducting our business across the globe ethically and in compliance with applicable domestic and international laws and regulations. We continue to set high standards within our organization and for the industry in which we serve. By partnering with us, you can be confident we are taking the necessary steps to help you conduct your missions in a compliant manner.

The foundation of our compliance program is set forth in our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (the “Code”).

Every year, our people certify that they have read and will follow the Code. We believe that our commitment to these values is critical for our business and equips us to successfully partner with our clients.

Around the world there is a sharp increase in the number of anti-bribery enforcement cases, fines, and penalties levied against corporations and individuals. As a result, many organizations have adopted a compliance program with internal controls and demand that they only work with service providers who have similar controls in place.

As part of our Ethics and Compliance program, our people receive regular training on regulations, policies, procedures, and laws applicable to our global business. This includes anti-bribery laws such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) enacted in the U.S. and the U.K. Bribery Act.

We continually monitor, report, and track the effectiveness of our internal controls and compliance initiatives.
